FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: changing the pressure inside flexible seal is effected through reducing it to level of pressure of medium surrounding the seal at which form of cross section of seal increases under action of elastic forces and is pressed to adjacent surface of joint component. Pressure is changed in hoses placed in seal which are tight for compressed medium. Hollow sealing member is made in form of thin-walled upper part and rigid thick-walled lateral parts which are connected to each other and to mounting part; thin-walled bearing parts are used for connection. Member is secured on base and forms hollow structure together with it. Inner hose for compressed medium is closely mounted between lateral parts. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 2 dwg
