FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: vacuum arc-heated melting-pouring slag-lining installation has melt and pouring vacuum chambers, slag-lining crucible with trunnions, electrode, electrode feeding mechanism, centrifugal machine, control device of metal discharge from crucible. The discharge control device has a differential-pressure restrictor, electromagnetic switch electrically coupled to a photoelectric sensor, constant- pressure restrictor, reversing control valve, pumping plant and a shaped cam rigidly coupled double-ended hydraulic cylinder with a rack engaged with a gear that is rigidly secured on the crucible trunnion, the cam profile vector radius at a definite crucible turning angle R = Ro+ Sα /Sk·h; where Roℏ︀ radius of the cam pitch circle; Sα-area limited by the metal surface and crucible internal surface at definite crucible turning angle a, deg; Sk-area limited by the metal surface and crucible internal surface at crucible turning angle α=0; h-total increment of the cam profile vector radius equal to the total stroke of the differential-pressure restrictor. The installation crucible is furnished with a shell of copper tubes arranged in the slag-lining and welded together by 4 to 6 electrodes, melted in the slag-lining, and the partition between the melt and pouring chambers is made bimetallic, with the upper layer made of copper, and the lower one - of steel.
