APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURE OF CASTINGS BY DIRECTED CRYSTALLIZATION Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2131321 C1

FIELD: foundry, in particular, directed vacuum crystallization of large-sized parts of turbines used in power engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has metal melting-pouring device, mechanism for vertical displacement of ceramic molds, ceramic mold, container for damaged molds, crystallizer, and handling device. Handling device has lift mounted on vertical guide with carriage, movable container for transporting carcass with ceramic mold and manipulator mounted so as to effectuate rotational and progressive motions. Ceramic mold is mounted in carcass on mounting plate which is positioned into container. Mold is moved by lift to upper level of working platform. Manipulator removes carcass with mold from lift and turns it through 180 deg with following transfer into vacuumizer. Receptacle of mechanism for vertical displacement of mold is tightly joined with carcass to reliably retain mold in predetermined position during the whole process cycle. EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing large-sized castings, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 5 dwg
