FIELD: photosynthesis of plant. SUBSTANCE: metal-halide lamp has torch of optically transparent material with electrodes mounted through sealed joint; torch is filled with inert gas and metal-halide compound. The latter includes dopes to provide torch with halides of elements having sensitive lines of neutral atoms within wavelengths of 400 to 700 nm in the amount of 0.55 to 28.0 m kmol/cu.cm and dopes to provide torch with halides of elements having sensitive lines of neutral atoms within wavelengths of 300 to 340 nm in the amount of 0.2 to 12.5 mc mol/cu.cm. Inert gas pressure in this case is 1.33 to 200.0 kPa. Filler has dopes providing torch with halides of iron, nickel, cobalt, cerium, and lithium in the amount of 0.1 to 5.0; 0.05 to 5.0; 0.05 to 2.5; 0.05 to 7.0; and 0.5 to 15.0 m mol/cu.cm, respectively. Filler composition also includes dopes to provide torch with halides of iron, nickel, cobalt, sodium, and lithium in the amount of 0.1 to 0.5; 0.05 to 5.0; 0.05 to 2.5; 0.2 to 13.0; and 0.5 to 15.0 mc mol/cu.cm, respectively, and dopes to provide torch with halides of copper, scandium, and lithium in the amount of 0.2 to 4.0; 0.6 to 6.0; and 0.5 to 15.0 mc mol/cu.cm, respectively. In addition, mercury is introduced in lamp torch in the amount of 0.5 to 45 mc mol/cu.cm. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 1 tbl
