MOWER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: mower has frame on wheels with cutterbar in form of fixed segment knives and movable knives. Knives are set into motion through special reduction gears. Used as reduction gears are ribbed disks individually coupled through clutches with corresponding rotating wheel. Double-arm lever hinge-mounted on mower frame engages with disk ribs. Ribbed disks are rigidly coupled on common shaft and are turned relative to each other to make one lever engage with rib top and the other lever, engage with valley on ribbed disk. Oscillations of levers are transmitted to movable knives through rack. Fitted at side opposite to cutterbar is frame with bag laid on protective plate which provides picking up of mowed grass. Position of U-shaped handle-carrier can be changed within 180 degrees which makes it possible to use mower as transportation cart. Offered device provides for quick preparation of grass for feeding daily small cattle and poultry. It cuts to minimum use of fuel and lubricating materials.
