FIELD: transport engineering; wheels of self-propelled chair. SUBSTANCE: wheel has disk 1 and great number of rollers 2 installed in slots 3 over periphery of disk 1 on tangentially oriented axles 4 in bearing units 5 and 6 for rotation and engagement with stair steps through at least front edges and cylindrical generating lines of overhanging parts. Disk 1 has radial projections 9 extending from flat rear end faces 10 of slots 3. When chair moves upstairs with reverse gear shifted in, roller 2 engaging with edge of step by its front end face gets deformed under action of force P and thrusts against disk 1. The latter prevents further bending of roller 2, partially unloading bearing units 5 and 6. EFFECT: increased load bearing capacity, stability and possibility of moving up and down the stairs. 4 cl, 1 dwg
