FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: in moving along surface main platform 1 is set into operation, and additional platform 2 is held in traveling position. When approaching a surface arranged at an angle relative to first surface, motor 9 is set into action, and platform 2 is turned to make grip 12 thrust against new surface. Then platform 1 is set on platform 2 and both platforms are turned relative to worm wheel, after which platform 1 is set by motor 9 on new surface and is fixed on surface. Grip 12 is released, and platform 2 is shifted into travelling position. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 4 cl, 6 dwg
