FIELD: manufacture of rolled products. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating ingot and providing isothermal holding at the first stage for 2.0-3.0 h; heating for rolling to 1230-1320 C with isothermal holding for 1.5-2.0 h; conducting hot rolling. At the first stage ingot is heated to 1230-1270 C. Rolling is effectuated with total reduction of 20-25% on each side of ingot and single pass of reduction of 9-13.9% EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of billets. 1 tbl
