FIELD: metals pressure working. SUBSTANCE: method of press-remainder separation provides for press-remainder separation by cutter with fixed on it cutting plate in space between container and plug. Tool for press-remainder separation cutter from side of plug has bulge with facet, height of which is less than height of bulge. Before press-remainder separation plug is set in position, in which cutter surface from side of plug in process of press-remainder separation contacts butt of plug. In the case, beginning of the contact takes the lead over beginning of press-remainder separation.
