FIELD: underground gasification of coal seams. SUBSTANCE: method for lighting up of coal seams consists in supply of oxidizer to coal surface opened in well and lighting up of coal. Oxidizer is used in form of air in fixed amount of 30-300 cu.m/h per square meter of opened coal surface that provides for coal self-ignition. Lighting up is promoted by enriching oxidizer with oxygen and its preliminary heating. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl
