FIELD: powder metallurgy, production of metal copper powder. SUBSTANCE: method provides for reduction in glycerin medium of copper oxide powder, produced by plasma-chemical method in presence of carbamide. In the case it is preferable to have mass ratio of copper oxide, carbamide and glycerin as (0.6-1): 1 2 under temperature of 210 -230 C cooling of reaction products at speed of no less than 15 C per minute with following separation, cleansing and drying of produced powder. Method allows to produce uniform powders with particles size - 0.030-0.060 mcm, that are used during preparation of thermoconducting and current-conducting compositions, additions to oils. EFFECT: method is effectively used in production of metal copper powders. 3 tbl
