FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating pulverized aqueous-ammonia solution of metal compounds with ammonia in low-temperature plasma followed by recovery of end product from the reaction mixture. Powders of Cu, Ni and Co are produced by treating aqueous-ammonia solutions of their ammine complexes, powders of W, Mo, Re and W-Re alloy by treating aqueous-ammonia solutions of corresponding ammonia salts of metals at a summary mole relation of NH3 to metal or a sum of metals equal to 3.3-4.0, powder of W-Co alloy by treating aqueous-ammonia solution of paratungstate of ammonium and hexa-amminecobalt III hydroxide at a summary mole relation of NH3 to the sum of recovered metals equal to 3.3-4.0.
