FIELD: hydraulic metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method provides for osmium tetraoxide distilling off from pulp, composed of deluted sulfuric acid and osmium-containing products, using oxidizer, provides oxidizing-reducing potential (ORP) from 1 V to 1.2 V, absorption of osmium tetraoxide by КОН- solution. Potassium osmate settling is exercised by oxidizing-reducing potential decreasing to 0.2 0.25 V with addition of reducer. Sediment is separated by filtration and then mother liquor is fed back for osmium tetraoxide absorption. EFFECT: method allows to simplify and make technological cycle closed-circuit. 7 cl, 2 dwg
