FIELD: manufacturing amorphous metal alloys. SUBSTANCE: crystallized material layer on tape or wire surface is formed using electrolytic or chemical precipitation of metal or alloy on wire surface, concurrent or step-by-step precipitation on both tape sides, or precipitation on one side. In so doing each of these processes may be conducted both in magnetic field, and out of it. EFFECT: crystallized layer formation on the surface of amorphous ferromagnetic tape or wire provides widening opportunities for change of magnetic anisotropy induced in the tape or wire at the expense of opportunities to produce layer of different composition, thickness and structural condition; elimination of degradation of amorphous structure and structurally sensitive properties of the tape or wire at the expense of elimination of thermal treatment; besides opportunity to apply the method for wide range of amorphous alloys. 4 cl, 1 tbl
