FIELD: production of materials used in oxidizing media at high temperatures including manufacture of high-temperature electrical heaters, parts, sensors and tools working at temperatures up to 1400-2000 C. SUBSTANCE: proposed heat-resisting material is made on base of silicides - solid solutions (Mo,W)sSi3 and (Mo,W)sSi2, as well as containing molybdenum and tungsten of Novotny phase (Mo,W)sSi3C, it may be used for manufacture of parts, as well as protective coats and soldered joints for wide range of high-temperature materials: composite materials "silicides of refractory metals - silicon carbide", carbon materials, silicon carbide materials, refractory metals and their alloys. Material provides for wide change in properties due to control of phase composition, wide variety of structural specific features of single- layer and multi-layer protective coats, control of heat resistance and resistance to thermal shocks, joint thermal deformation of coats and parts made by soldering with the aid of proposed heat-resisting material.
