FIELD: metallurgy, electrical engineering, namely processes for thermo-magnetic treatment of magnetically soft materials in order to enhance their magnetic characteristics.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of high-temperature annealing, soaking, cooling till 20°C; ion-beam treatment, namely bombarding with accelerated ions of inert gases and thermo-magnetic treatment in variable-sign magnetic field while irradiating by means of argon ions Ar+ at energy of ion beam 20 -50 keV selected as optimal doze for each material, particularly for polycrystalline and amorphous alloys on base of iron silicate - 1015 - 1016 ion/cm2, on nickel base - 1016 ion/cm2 respectively. Thermo-magnetic treatment of different magnetically soft alloys in variable-sign magnetic field is realized in frequency range from 50 Hz (massive poly-crystals, for example Fe-Si) till 10 -80 KHz (thin bands of amorphous alloys, for example on Fe-Si-B base).
EFFECT: enhanced magnetic characteristics of magnetically soft materials due to preliminary ion treatment of material for providing its increased sensitivity to one-axis magnetic anisotropy during thermo-magnetic treatment.
