FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation of load vertically. SUBSTANCE: vertical bucket elevator has drive and tension stations secured on vertical housing and intercoupled by closed traction chain with fitted-on buckets passed over drive and tension sprockets. Elevator has also reduction gear, drive and reverse limiter. Reverse limiter is made in form of ratchet stop with at least three spring-loaded pawls secured on housing of V-belt drive driven pulley rigidly secured on input shaft of drive station reduction gear, ratchet wheel and stop lever secured on driven pulley hub by means of fixed hub fitted on at least two bearings. Lower end of stop lever has two damping members installed in plane square to axis of hub rotation for engagement with drive station frame. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities and enhanced reliability. 4 dwg
