FIELD: conversion of light energy to electric energy. SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric converter has light distributor, thermoconductor, thermoelectric elements, optical and electric connectors. Thermoconductor is produced in the form of ball shell with connector for energy-transmitting light guide. Light distributor manufactured in the form of dispersing spherical surface with multilayer coat is positioned diametrically opposite to light guide on inner surface of thermoconductor. Thermoelements are put with hot junctions on to outer surface of thermoconductor and with cold junctions on to inner surface of heat sink manufactured in the form of ball shell placed concentric on thermoconductor.
