FIELD: light energy into electrical energy convertion.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of converting light energy into electrical energy and relates to an optocoupler with a semiconductor laser. The optocoupler contains a housing made in the form of a pipe made of a dielectric material. A semiconductor laser is located at one end of the optocoupler housing, and a photovoltaic unit is located at the other end. The photovoltaic unit includes a housing, a photodetector element, a diffusing lens, a reflective mirror, a sleeve, an electrical connector, two contacts, and a light distributor. The housing of the photovoltaic unit is made in the form of a hollow cylinder with mirror end surfaces. A battery of solar cells located coaxially on the lateral inner surface of the photovoltaic unit housing is used as a photodetector element. The light distributor is located on the axis of the photovoltaic unit housing and is made in the form of a glass tube covered from above with a thin layer of reflective coating. One end of the glass tube through a diffusing lens is fixed on the front end of the photovoltaic unit housing, and the second end is covered with a blank mirror and fixed on the rear end of the photovoltaic unit housing.
EFFECT: invention increases the output power of the optocoupler, increases its dielectric strength and reduces energy losses.
