FIELD: smoking products. SUBSTANCE: addition of specially-selected amount of sodium, mainly in the form of sodium carbonates, to a binder with a low sodium content, i.e. ammonium alginate present in carbon- containing combustible composition brings about radical changes in the properties of both combustible elements proper and of cigarettes (or other smoking products) containing combustible elements. These changes include different amounts of aerosol and/or flavoring additions. EFFECT: higher smouldering speed and increased caloricity of smoke without overheating of cigarettes resulting in improved total amount of emitted aerosols in the course of smoking. 14 cl, 16 dwg, 7 tbl
