FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to embodiments of a cartridge for a smoking article. Cartridge for a smoking article comprises a longitudinally extending casing defining a first end portion and a second end portion, wherein a cavity is formed inside the casing extending in the longitudinal direction between the first end part and the second end part. Cartridge comprises an aerosol-generating material located in the cavity and configured to generate an aerosol when heated, and a combustible component comprising a plurality of irregularly shaped objects arranged in the cavity and forming a plurality of voids therebetween. Combustible component is located between the aerosol-generating material and the first end part and forms an ignited fuel element, wherein said fuel element can release heat.
EFFECT: uniform heating of aerosol-generating material.
