FIELD: household chemical goods. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combustible element for smoking products containing at least about 50 wt % powdered carbon, preferably carbon obtained in the controlled hard wood-pulp carbonization process. Combustible composition also contains at least about 3 wt % graphite powder and may contain at least about 1 wt % appropriate inorganic filler, e.g. calcium carbonate or other compounds of the same type. If needed or desired, combustible composition can be supplemented with other components including tobacco powder (up to 10%) and/or sodium carbonate or similar compounds. EFFECT: reduced amount of carbon monoxide produced on burning of combustion element, reduced heat evolution and excessive heating of smoking product or its separate components on smoking. 18 cl, 3 dwg, 10 ex
