FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has housing and rotor mounted inside the working space and having inlet and outlet passageways. The mechanism for control of piston movement is mounted at the axis of the rotor. The mechanism is made up as ellipsoid rigidly fitted on the shaft and kinematically coupled with the pistons. Force members are arranged over periphery of the rotor. The members are made up as pockets. The front wall of each pocket is perpendicular to the passageway for entering working gases. The working gases enter the front walls of the pockets of the rotor from combustion chambers and set the rotor in rotation. The great arm amplifies the action of the working gases on the rotor and allows the rotor to rotate at a high speed and hence to receive high power. Four piston groups are arranged outside of the housing and controlled by the ellipsoid which is rigidly fitted on the shaft. When the rotor is in rotation, the ellipsoid also rotates and intermediate levers slide over the face surface of the ellipsoid as well as the greater radius of the ellipsoid moves piston to the top dead center of the cylinder and the lesser radius of the ellipsoid moves it down.
