FIELD: wind power engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor 1 of a wind motor has vertical shaft 2, central carrying unit 3, vertical blades 4, top and bottom traverses 5,6, and control mechanism. The traverses connect the central carrying unit with blades 4. The traverses of each of the blades are made up as beams having a symmetry aerodynamic profile. Beams 5,6 are arranged in the vertical plane at an angle to each other. The free end of each bottom beam of traverse 6 is rigidly secured to blade 4 through roller 7. The control mechanism consists of braking shield 8 of a symmetry aerodynamic profile mounted on roller 7, control shaft 9 positioned inside the space of bottom beam 6, tie 10 of braking shield 8, weight 11 with guide 12 mounted over the axis of vertical shaft 2, and ties 13. Weight 11 with guide 12 and ties 13 are positioned in central carrying unit 3. Stop 17 can be mounted on bottom beam 6. The cantilever with the counterweight can be mounted on braking shield 8.
