FIELD: water intake. SUBSTANCE: water collector with overflow is installed in water bearing relief. Water of the collector is pumped out, and intake is controlled within preset flowrate. A dam with hydraulically insulating cavities made in its body is built using enclosure in shelf, near shore and/or cavern area of water bearing relieves. Inlet is built in its underwater section, overflow is made in the form of labyrinth windows with a gate. However, temporally in near bottom area, not affected by surf wave stream, near bottom capping well is installed by enclosing it with double coaming with a cavity filled with hydroinsulating material. The well is installed on fractures with submarine fresh water relieves. Near bottom water conduit is used to connect the well to the enclosed area through dam inlet. Then marine water is pumped out of the enclosed area after closing the gate. Once the enclosed area filled with fresh water, the gate is open and water level in the area about sea level is adjusted using this gate. Wave suppression is carried out in the area concurrently with generation of energy to pump out water to consumer and, water bubbling in the area. EFFECT: adjustable water intake. 1 dwg
