FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device for regulating fresh water reserves includes a watertight barrage 3 in the transverse section of the river valley, completely spanning the aquifer 4 by thickness and width and forming an underground reservoir 5, a water intake well 8 and shutoff-regulating pipelines 9. According to the invention, there is an aboveground reservoir 6 formed by an aboveground dam 1 on a pile foundation 2 spanning by width the transverse valley section and located above the underground reservoir 5. The watertight barrage 3 is located in one section with the aboveground dam 1, between its piles, forming a joint underground screen. The water intake well 8 is located on the bank of the aboveground reservoir 6, above the marking of flooding at the maximum level 7. Both reservoirs are connected to each other and to the consumer with the shutoff-regulating pipelines 9.

EFFECT: invention enables secure water intake in a required volume during the entire period of operation, including in low-water periods of the year in the valleys of mountain rivers with periodically drying watercourse, in view of efficient use of the underground and aboveground volume of a mountain river valley, with the least economic costs, due to combining the action functions, eg the piles supporting the aboveground dam are simultaneously involved in screening the underground stream; minimizing the ecological impact on the environment.
