FIELD: fiber-optic communication lines. SUBSTANCE: device has three cylindrical rods with equal diameters the rods are made of quartz glass. The rods form guiding channel when they are connected mutually. Fiber to be joined is mounted inside the channel. Two rods are connected rigidly by glue, the third rod is compressed against these two rods by elastic rings. Length of the first two rods is larger, than length of the third one for value, being enough to fit fibers along the surface of protecting-strengthening covering. EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation; improved reliability. 4 dwg
