FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to connection of optical fibres. Method comprises removing coatings from fibre ends, installing and fixing fibres in ceramic ferrules with UV glue, followed by splitting fibres to form working end surfaces, ferrules with fixed fibres and prepared end surfaces are installed and fixed in the ceramic centraliser, a thin metal plate is installed in the ceramic centraliser, which provides a normalized gap between the ferrules, which is then filled with immersion liquid, wherein one of the ferrules with the fixed fibre and the working end is installed in the centraliser until contact with the plate on one side of the plate, and the other ferrule with fixed fibre, and working end, and drop of immersion liquid applied on working end of fibre, is installed in centralizer till contact with plate on other side of plate.

EFFECT: providing easy and fast connection of optical fibres with reduction of labour costs, as a result of which it is possible to quickly repair optical systems in field conditions.
