FIELD: optical cables. SUBSTANCE: the terminator has an enclosure, shell with a bracket and cartridges for modules and optical fiber, head structure with large pipe connections receiving the unions individually installed and sealed on the optical cable, from which leads of a copper insulated conductor to the grounding rods are made inside the terminator via the contact plates from the fastening assemblies of sealed wires. The lead-in unions may be mounted both on optical cables with metal cables with armoring covers of synthetic threads or glass plastic rods, i.e. both optical cables of the same type (optical cables with metal armoring covers or suspended optical cables with synthetic power elements) and optical cables of different types may be spliced with the aid of the unions. The union that is individually mounted and sealed on the optical cable provides for an additional lead-in of one more optical cable even to an operating cable box.
