SPRAY TRAP Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: gas cleaning. SUBSTANCE: spray trap has vertical housing, bottom, cover, gas inlet and outlet branch pipes and attachment layer. Attachment is made in form of body widening from top to bottom (turned over basket). Gas inlet branch pipe is driven, preferably, from top into inner space of attachment layer. Contour of attachment layer inner surface is beyond the limits of cone coming from end face of gas inlet branch pipe, with angle at cone vertex equal to 10-20 degrees. Housing of spray trap should preferably follow the shape of attachment layer with less degree of widening than attachment layer. If housing is made conical, diameter d₂ at level of gas inlet branch pipe end face, is in the following relationship with other dimensions of device: where d₁ diameter of gas inlet branch pipe, δ thickness of attachment layer, a angle at vertex of attachment cone layer.
