FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: bearing ring and sealing unit are arranged inside the housing. The sealing unit is made up as a stack of alternative rings enclosing the sealing member and pressed to the bearing ring through an axle box. The stack consists of the odd number of rings. Each odd ring is made of polymeric material with Brinell hardness of 20-70 MPa. Each even ring is made of carbon containing polyamide 66 having Brinell hardness of 160-250 MPa. The pressing ring is interposed between the axle box and the ring stack. All of the rings are fitted with interference with respect to the housing and the member to be sealed.
