FIELD: material testing. SUBSTANCE: magnetic leakage field of article 17 acts on domain-containing film 8 with single-axis magnetic anisotropy and causes local fixation of domain walls in it. Alternating and/or pulse magnetic field of sources 15 and 13 correspondingly acts on film 8 to cause motion of unfixed domain walls. Domain structure in film 8 is visualized by means of Faraday effect or signal from photodetector 18 is received. Magnetic field is applied along axis of light magnetization coinciding with axis of magnetic anisotropy of film 8 and amplitude of applied magnetic field exceeds coercive force of film 8.
