SUBSTANCE: geophone has case, base with nonmagnetic hollow cylinder, inertial mass in the form of permanent magnet, lateral locating arm, ferromagnetic cylinder functioning as lateral magnetic stretching, ferromagnetic barrels, sensor of vertical movement of inertial mass installed in case. Adjustment of inherent frequency of geophone is carried out by vertical movement of barrels relative to nonmagnetic cylinder.
