FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating deforming and mechanically treating the articles. Die and piston are heated to 0.95-0.95 times the piston alloy melting point. The internal surface of the skirt is treated with directed pressure from the part of the conic punch. The base diameter is calculated by using a formula shown in the patent application.
