FIELD: high-temperature insulating material. SUBSTANCE: insulating material is made of the composition involving, aluminosilicate and/or siliceous fiber 30-40; vermiculite 45-60; butadiene nitrile rubber latex 4.2-14.1, and dispersion of plasticized polyvinyl acetate or dispersion of copolymer of vinyl acetate with ethylene 0.3-4.5. Mixture of fibers and binder is prepared and subjected for heat treatment. Properties: volume mass is 580-680 kg/m³, tension limit strength is 150-600 KPa, flexibility sustains turning around the cylinder with diameter 50 mm without structure change.
