FIELD: insulating material. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to heat-insulation, refractory sealing materials and can be used for insulation and sealing with heat-expanding material. Mixture is prepared from (i) stabilized acrylate latex with weight concentration of solids at least 38%, weight concentration of gel fraction at least 75%, and particle size 900-1600 A, (ii) aluminosilicate and/or silica fiber, and (iii) vermiculite with particle size 0.3-1.0 mm. Latex is prepared by emulsion polymerization of butyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, and methacrylic acid followed by radiation crosslinking. Components are taken in following proportions: latex 6-14%, vermiculite 40-60%, and fiber 30-54.
