FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for production of aluminum-iron alloy for foil rolling includes introduction of iron in form of plates aluminum-clad from both sides into molten aluminum at temperature of 770-800 C with aluminum mass cladding iron plate-to-iron mass (contained in plates) ratio amounting to 1/68-1/26. In this case, total mass of iron plates clad with aluminum from both sides and introduced in melted aluminum exceeds the content of iron in alloy by 1.4-3.6 mas. Iron base of plates clad with aluminum from both sides is used in form of low-carbon grades of steel. EFFECT: increased uniformity of chemical composition of ingots, reduced production costs and decreased breakage of foil in rolling. 2 cl, 1 tbl
