FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: working mixture enters inlet valve 8 through tangential inlet passageway 6. The valve opens and mixture is supplied to cylinder 2 over the tangent to its wall. The working mixture supplied to cylinder 2 is swirled by guide blades 30 of ring 29 and by bottom 11 of piston 3 at compressing. The magnetic field created by magnet 25 affects the mixture. In the end of the compression stroke, the emitter 13 of electromagnetic waves is actuated. The wave field overlaps the whole space of combustion chamber 10 owing to their multiple refractions from walls of cylinder 2, head 5 and bottom 11 of piston 3 and causes ionization of the working mixture gases. The ionization is stabilized due to interference of the electromagnetic waves. When piston 3 approaches the top dead center, the spark discharge occurs at spark plug 12. The gas ionization near the spark plug electrodes increases instantaneously. When the spark discharging stops (the emission of electromagnetic waves stops after a time delay) the ionization is changed for the recombination to define detonating mixture composed of hydrogen and oxygen. The recombination of oxygen and nitrogen ions is accompanied with the energy release which is enhanced by explosion of the detonating mixture.
