FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diesel locomotive, in particular to an internal combustion engine of a diesel locomotive. Gas-locomotive with a hybrid power plant includes gear, a driver's controller, a storage battery, a crew part, fuel tanks, a block of gas cylinders, gas and auxiliary equipment. Hybrid power plant is a gas-engine internal combustion engine with hybrid ignition system of gas-air mixture. Each cylinder of the engine has a piston, inlet and outlet valves, fuel injectors and an ignition system which includes an ignition spark plug installed in the combustion chamber and controlled from an electronic system. At the positions of the controller, which ensure operation of the engine at medium and high loads, the gas-air mixture in each cylinder is ignited from the ignition portion of diesel fuel supplied from the nozzles, operating on the gas-diesel cycle. At the positions of the controller providing for operation of the engine in modes without load and with low load, the gas-air mixture in each cylinder is ignited by a spark created by the ignition plug, operating as per the gas cycle; at that, supply of fuel supplied from the nozzles is switched off.
EFFECT: ensuring stable operation of the engine of the gas-locomotive in all modes.
