FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention makes it possible to increase accuracy of calculation of indices of mechanical properties of investigated materials thanks to making scratch of constant cross-section in investigates flat sample and thanks to possibility of determination of total force of scratching. Sclerometer used for these purposes has case 1 with baseplate 2, table 4 for attachment of samples 5, pendulum with indentor 7 on its end, stopping unit composed of device to measure deviation angle of pendulum and strain-measuring meters.
