FIELD: welding technique. SUBSTANCE: gas splitter has a body, consisting of lower and upper covers, mutually connected with formation of a damping chamber. The lower cover has openings for inlet and outlet of the gas out of the damping chamber. The upper cover has a guiding opening for a spring-loaded rod, engaging with a gas conducting opening with the aid of a drive unit. The rod is provided by a throttling needle, engaging with a reciprocal surface of the opening for inlet of the gas into the damping chamber. A thrust screw, engaging with the rod, is arranged on a strut coaxially with the rod. The screw is provided by a dial. The damping chamber has a height, being less, than its diameter. The diameter of that chamber is 12-20 times more, than a diameter of the inlet opening of the chamber. The diameter of that opening consists (1.3-3) diameters of the output opening of the chamber. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of controlling flowrate of shield gas at welding. 1 cl, 1 dwg
