FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for welding metal structures. Proposed torch has current supply channel to direct consumable electrode, tip and nozzle connected with shielding gas supply channel. Nozzle is made with length L = ((D2-D):(D2-D1)×L2 where D is diameter of nozzle outlet hole, D1 and D2 are inner and outer diameters of ring channels, respectively, and L2 is length of main part of nozzle being essentially a ring cylindrical channel. Length L1 of conical part of nozzle is L1 = 2D. Taper angle β2 of outer walls of outlet part of nozzle does not exceed taper angle of inner walls, last of which being β1 = 8°. EFFECT: reduced consumption of shielding gas, improved gas shielding in zone of welding by forming laminar flow of gases. 1 dwg
