FIELD: reinforcing open pit flanks in mineral opencasting. SUBSTANCE: method for reinforcing benches in open pit includes drilling of hole from berm of upper bench to surface of lower bench. Drilled from this surface is hole beyond the sliding surface boundary. Drilled from berm of lower bench square to it is hole up to crossing the hole drilled beyond the sliding surface. Passed through holes is rope whose ends are secured to berms of upper and lower benches. EFFECT: excluded collapse of bench surface in blasting operations. 1 dwg
