FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: roll-type baler has pickup device, feed conveyor, bale density chamber with primary endless pressing belts and valve. Secured on shaft of feed conveyor are rings with secondary endless belts passing in between. Valve has shaft with deflecting members arranged over its diameter at side of bale density chamber. With baler operating, at the beginning of formation of roll, non-uniformly fed material is exposed to action of primary and secondary belts in direction of clearance between shafts of feed conveyor and valve. Deflecting members are arranged between rings. Radius of rings is greater than radius of arch-shaped portion of deflecting members. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg
