FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: roll-type baler has pickup device and compression chamber defined by front and rear belt contours turned over roll system. Material to be pressed is conveyed by pickup device through roll into loop-shaped space. Material is bent under the action of rear belt contour which imparts loop-shaped contour to bale of material. During forming of round bale, two rolls positioned tangentially of direction of conveying of material prevent round bale from being thrown to zone adjacent to pickup device and concentrate it centrally of compression chamber. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg
