FIELD: instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: hammer has a working part and a handle with a fixing member. The latter is made in the form of a self-tapping screw having thread along the whole length and located from the front face end of the handle. In this case part of the thread is in the bridge of the U-shaped bracket, the remaining thread interacts with the handle. The ends of the cheeks of the U-shaped bracket are bent back along the back surface of the working part. A washer is mounted between the head of the self-tapping screw and the exterior surface of the U-shaped bracket. The washer has the shape of the cross-section of the hole in the working part, overlaps it along the perimeter and is bent according to the shape of the protruding part of the handle with the bridge of the U-shaped bracket.
