FIELD: nonferrous industry. SUBSTANCE: anthracite is calcined in rotary kiln at temperature of 1200-1400 C with heat of gases formed in combustion of fuel and liberating volatile substances transferred to heat-insulated chamber where anthracite is subjected to deep calcination when heated with electrodes arranged around the periphery of heat-insulated chamber to temperature of 1800-2000 C for 1-3 h. Transducer of level of calcined material in heat-insulated chamber sends signals on its lowering to input of synchronization regulator which also receives signals from drive of discharging device. The regulator upon receiving the above indicated signal gives signal for acceleration of speed of loading drive operation and rotating drum. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
