SUBSTANCE: method involves leather treatment at greasing stage or later with composition containing at least one greasing agent taken from the following group: phosphate ester, phosphonic acid derivative and phosphinic acid derivative containing fluoroalkyl, fluoroalkenyl group or fluoroether group, their ammonium salts, alkaline, alkaline-earth metal salts, and reaction products of indicated phosphate ester, derivative of phosphonic or phosphinic acid with metal compound with exception for alkaline and alkaline-earth metals, and at least one fluoro-containing oil taken from the following group: perfluoropolyester with repeating links of the formula: , perfluoropolyester with repeating links of the formula where p, q, r are the whole numbers, their sum is at least 2 but not above 200; polyfluoroether with repeating links of the formula: -(CH₂CF₂CF₂O)_a-(CHCl CF₂ CF₂O)_b-(CCl₂CF₂CF₂O)_c-(CHF CF₂CF₂O)_d- -(CF Cl CF₂CF₂O)e-(CF₂CF₂CF₂)f- where a, b, c, d, e, f are zero or the whole positive numbers with equation: 2 ≅ a+b+c+d+e+f < 200 and a+c+d+f > 1, and compound with repeating links of the formula: -(CF₂CFCl)_n.
