FIELD: training equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves attacking shaft 6 by means of two power members having different resistance values, with braking moment being preliminarily regulated by spring 15 with nut 16. Apparatus has shaft 6 and lever fixed on shaft. Lever carries strike object 1 formed as ball or flat washer. Apparatus has two power members. One power member is formed as frictional disk brake with one semi-coupling 13 mounted on casing 7 and other semi-coupling 17 mounted on shaft. Other power member is made in the form of load pack 11 coupled with shaft through rope 10 and pulley 9. Power members develop braking moments with constant value during rotation of shaft, when a strike is delivered on object 1, with summary braking moment developed by two power members acting upon shaft. Lever is started to deliver a strike by difference, since load moves in reverse direction. EFFECT: increased efficiency of apparatus and method by creating favorable training conditions for beginning and experienced tennisists. 4 cl, 2 dwg
