FIELD: chemical production. SUBSTANCE: mass-exchanging column includes vertical apparatus of round cross-section with perforated grids installed in decks inside the apparatus. Beds are placed on the grids. The perforated grids are inclined at acute angle to horizon alternatively to diametrically opposite directions. Grid perforations are punched in the form of arched notches with convexity upward. Axes of the notches are directed towards the grid slope. The perforated grids are installed onto thrust elliptic slit rings. Thrust plates are attached to the ends of the rings. Thrust screw is attached to one such plate. The screw passes free through the hole of the other plate. Nuts are screwed on the thrust screw on its both sides. The nut between the thrust plates is screwed up to the stop of the plate, the thrust elliptic ring is pressed down closely to internal walls of the column. Axis of the thrust screw of the thrust elliptic ring is displaced inwards the circle of the thrust ring and downwards about the surface of the thrust ring. EFFECT: effective mass exchange.
